Elections for the HSGC Executive Council (EC) for 2026

The term of the Current Executive Council expires on Dec 31, 2025, and the elections for the 2026 Executive Council will be conducted during the General Body Meeting on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 12 pm. The Election Commission invites nominations for the following positions:

• President
• Vice-President
• Secretary
• Treasurer

• Religious Education and Youth Activities
• Puja and Religious Activities
• Communications
• Membership & Fundraising
• Property Management and Maintenance
• Cultural
• Long Range Planning

Please note the following:

• All candidates must be members of the Hindu Society of Greater Cincinnati in good standing for at least 12 months prior to Dec 6, 2025. For the position of the President and Long-Range Planning Chair, the candidate must have actively served the Hindu Society in an executive capacity for at least one year.
• Nomination(s) must be submitted by emailing the nomination form to hsgcelection2026@gmail.com by 11/22/2025.
• Nomination forms should be signed by the nominee, the proposer , and the seconder. Phone number and emails of all listed in the nomination form must be included for the election commission to verify.
• Both proposer and seconder must be HSGC members.
• No nominations will be accepted after the deadline- 11/22/2025.
• Nominees cannot withdraw their nominations one week before the election, i.e., 11/29/2025.
• The nomination forms can be downloaded from the temple website.
• The description/role/responsibility for every position is listed on HSGC website.
• The election commission will verify the interest of the candidates as well as understanding of the role by the candidates.
• The election will be conducted at the Hindu temple, 720 Barg Salt Run Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45244 after the general body meeting which will start at 11am.
