Rām and Sītā are among the most celebrated incarnations of Viśṇu and Lakṣmi. In the epic Rāmāyana, they are revealed as the ideal couple in their adherence to right conduct. “Rāma Rājya”, the rule of justice, peace and prosperity is the dream of Hindus. Special events in the temple include: Rāmāyan Pāth (singing entire Rāmāyan of Tulsidās) to coincide with Rām Navami (birth of Rām) (Mar-April) and Sitā-Rām wedding ceremony (Sītā-Rāma Kalyāṇamu); Also Vijaya Daśami at the conclusion of Navarātri in the fall season to celebrate victory over Rāvan.
