Surya (Sun), Soma (Moon), Mangala (Mars), Budha (Mercury), Guru (Jupiter), Shukra (Venus), Shani (Saturn), Rahu, and Ketu (points of intersection of the paths of the Sun and the Moon) are the Navagrahas. Their relative positions (as determined using horoscope) impact our life happenings. Their worship is believed to bring peace and harmony and avert any mishaps. Special celebrations in the temple include: Monthly Navagraha Puja (First Saturday) and annual Navagraha homa (during Summer).
