Sūrya (Sun), Soma (Moon) Mangaḻa (Mars), Budha (Mercury), Guru (Jupiter), Śukra (Venus) Śani (Saturn), Rāhu and Ketu (points of intersection of the paths of the Sun and the Moon) are the Navagrahās. Their relative positions (as determined using horoscope) impact our life happenings. Their worship is believed to bring peace and harmony and avert any mishaps. Special celebrations in the temple include: Monthly Navagraha Pūjā (First Saturday) and annual Navagraha homa (During Summer).
